Carlos has extensive experience in financial analysis, company valuation and damage quantification in international commercial arbitration proceedings. Areas of work: energy, hydrocarbons, mining and aeronautics. As a financial analyst at the State Attorney General's Office (Bolivia), Carlos has contributed to the legal defense of the state, based on his analyzes on the quantification of damages, in a joint effort with senior international consultants.

Carlos is an economist from the Bolivian Catholic University (UCB), a Master in Corporate Finance (University of Barcelona) and a Master in Energy and Environmental Management (University of Twente, The Netherlands). He is currently a PhD candidate in Business and Law from RMIT University (Melbourne, Australia). His research focuses on governance mechanisms and emerging regulatory environments for solutions based on blockchain technology. Carlos also has a diploma in Data Science issued by Johns Hopkins University (USA).
Carlos began his professional career as a researcher at the Socioeconomic Research Institute (IISEC), where he has contributed to multiple academic publications on topics related to economic growth, governance, energy and the environment. Currently, as a researcher at the Royal Melbourne University of Technology (RMIT University), he has published several academic articles as author and co-author on topics related to the energy transition and its governance from the implementation of new technologies.
