Ricardo Montalvo is a lawyer of counsel at the Boutique in the international arbitration and litigation practice. Ricardo has experience in international commercial and investment arbitrations under ICC, ICSID and UNCITRAL rules in the energy, mining, hydrocarbon and construction sectors.
Ricardo worked as an associate at Dechert LLP, in Paris, in the international arbitration department, both in commercial and investment arbitrations. He worked in the Ecuadorian Ministry in charge of investment protection, where he was in charge of the negotiation of more than 50 investment contracts and advised on the negotiation of bilateral investment treaties.
Ricardo Montalvo is a lawyer from the Universidad San Francisco de Quito, a specialist in business law from the Universidad Andina Simón Bolívar and an MSc in Law and Finance from the University of Oxford, England.
Ricardo is a professor at the Universidad San Francisco de Quito in the classes of Corporate Finance Law and Financial Regulation.
